Karl Morgan Kaufman Karl Kaufman lives and works with his wife and partner Patrice, their three daughters, and 5 grandchildren in Metro Flint, Michigan. Karl has worked 25 years as a Nurse, initially starting his career after qualifying for a Federal Workforce Development Training Program in Practical Nursing in 1980. After a decade working in the Intensive Care Unit, Karl with Patrice founded a medical career training program in 2002 named Genesee CNA Academy. Seven years and 3,500 graduates later, renamed American Medical Careers. Patrice is Director of the three schools in Flint, Lansing and Detroit. AMC’s innovative Programs include a one year Licensed Practical Nurse Program with a 100% first-time pass rate on the National licensure exam, and a 100% placement rate.
In 2007, Karl founded a Wind Turbine Manufacturing Start-up, which is licensing 600 kW wind turbine generator technology from Europe for manufacture in Michigan. A serial social entrepreneur, Karl founded American Green Careers in 2008 as a Division of American Medical Careers to train workers for Green Jobs in the new Green Economy. The 300 class hour Programs include Energy Efficiency Technician, Solar Energy Technician, Small Wind Energy Technician, and Renewable Energy Technician. Green Apprenticeships, an Entrepreneurship Training Program, as well as additional Green curricula under development.

Earl H. Greene
Earl Greene is an accomplished manufacturing systems engineer, most recently serving as Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer at Delphi in Flint, MI. Prior to his 20 years at Delphi, he was an Electronic Equipment Technician in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg, MS. Before that, Mr. Greene served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned a B.S. Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and an Associates Degree in Engineering from Alcorn State University. Earl was promoted to Green Program Director in 2009. |

Thabani M. Banda
Thabani Banda is a seasoned, senior-level architecture professional that has been involved with over one billion dollars worth of construction projects. He is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional, and a Construction Specifications Institute certified Construction Document Technologist. His 15 years of industry includes diverse exposure to numerous building types including medical facilities, sports stadiums, industrial facilities, corporate offices, hospitality facilities, and educational buildings. Over his career Mr. Banda has held architectural and design positions at architecture firms in the Detroit area including Rosetti, UrbanWerks, Hamilton-Anderson & Associates, and Hannah & Associates. He received a Bachelor of Architecture professional degree from Howard University, School of Architecture and Planning.
Jason R. Karwoski
Jason Karwoski is a Certified Union Carpenter with extensive hands-on experience in weatherization, energy efficiency, and installation. Most recently Mr. Karwoski was an installer for International Building Products in Livonia, MI. Prior to that, he worked for 13 years in the insulation field at Whitson Insulation in Royal Oak, MI and Highland insulation in Macomb, MI. There he gained significant experience in weatherization, energy auditing, and insulation installation. Mr. Karwoski has served as a Union Steward and is a member of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters. In addition to carpentry and installation, certifications include OSHA, boom/aerial lift operator, scaffold builder, and commercial truck/vehicle operator. |

Marshall Muller Marshall D. Muller has over 20 years of experience in materials researc hand development working for Energy Conversion Devices, the parent company to United Solar Ovonic, as a Senior Research Scientist conducting new product research in advanced materials, energy generation, storage and transport. He also played key roles in the areas of thin film superconductors, semiconductors, solar cells, nickel metal hydride batteries, fuel cells, and hydrogen storage. As a key member of Stanford Ovshinsky's (“the Edison of our times”) team of inventors, he with Lin Higley has generated numerous patent filings, personally holding six granted patents in key areas of alternative energy and in the development of nano-engineered materials for increased hydrogen storage. He holds a B.S. Chemistry degree from Michigan Technological University.
